“Utah: Safe and Effective” is a very well produced documentary on how things have gone wrong with the health system’s response to the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak, particularly the COVID-19 vaccination program.
The film gives clear examples of gross conflict of interest and corruption. Bell points out that initiatives that may sound good to the public are working to erode independent practice and critical thinking. One such program was announced in 2022: “Governor Spencer Cox recently announced the members of the organizing committee for the One Utah Health Collaborative (originally known as the Utah Sustainable Health Collaborative). The committee will be tasked with creating a dynamic framework for the Collaborative that addresses affordability, outcomes, and equity through the implementation of value-based care while giving Utah communities a seat at the table.” The film indicates one of the aims of this initiative is to railroad COVID-19 vaccines on Utah in lockstep with one another.
